About us

About us

Regardless of whether it’s a relationship issue, emotional trauma, depression, anxiety, or substance abuse, therapy can make the needs of our subconscious known to us, clarifying underlying feelings and patterns of behavior we did not know we had. This illumination of the Self can empower us to control our lives and enrich our relationships with others.

For a decade, Paragon Clinic has provided clients with a unique setting to undergo this process. The clinic’s natural colors allow clients to remain calm upon entry. At the same time, the warm atmosphere offered by our competent clinicians conveys Paragon is a safe space to embark on the healing process.

Like the proverb says, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. When it comes to therapy, that courageous first step is identifying the need for help and seeking it out. Let us assist you as you embark on the remainder of your arduous journey by instilling hope and guiding you through the healing process.

What Our Therapy is All About

Personal Approach

We at Paragon adapt our approach to psychotherapy to meet the individual needs of each client. This flexibility is one of our greatest strengths as a practice. It is also at the core of who we are and our central belief that every client is unique.

Intensive Help

At Paragon, we don’t believe therapy is useful when the therapist is merely nodding and listening while you vent. We approach each session intent on being present, engaged in the conversation, and ready to provide no-nonsense solutions to your issues.

Empathic Approach

We know you wouldn’t seek help if you weren’t going through one of the most critical and challenging times in your life. We want to lighten your burden so you can grow stronger as a person than you’ve ever been before.

If you know someone who’s depressed please resolve to never ask them why. Depression isn’t a straightforward response to a bad situation; depression just is, like the weather.

It’s hard to be a friend to someone who’s depressed, but it is one of the kindest, noblest and best things you will ever do. Stephen Fry

Psychotherapy isn’t a twentieth century artifice imposed on nature, but the reinstatement of a natural healing process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

I have never been in therapy before. What if someone labels my child or me as mentally ill. Should I still book a session?

The stigma attached to mental illness can be strong. If it is a significant concern, pay for your therapy sessions in cash. We will make no electronic record of your payments, and Paragon uses analog charting for treatment and diagnosis specifically to protect client privacy. No one will be able to trace your visits to our facility. However, if you utilize your insurance provider to pay for your sessions, we will have no choice but to send your diagnosis and treatment record to your provider. Therefore, your treatment history will exist somewhere. That said, by law, no one has access to your treatment record without your explicit permission allowing them to see it. No school, job, or government entity should be able to access such information. Your therapy history should be inaccessible.

Q:

I have insurance that I would like to use. What about the copay or deductible?

Clients are responsible for their copay and deductible. Please contact your insurance provider to verify how much those values are exactly.

Q:

I have been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks. How long does treatment for those issues typically last?

In most cases, clients are pleasantly surprised by how quickly therapy can alleviate their symptoms. That said, guessing exact treatment length is difficult. The anxiety may be a manifestation of past or current stress. It could be the result of something biological. Sometimes, what seems like recurring anxiety symptoms are actually physical expressions of two entirely different internal occurrences that are not interrelated. In most situations, the initial therapy session can diagnose the underlying cause of the anxiety, determine how long treatment will last, and how much improvement a client can expect after completing the process.

Q:

How soon can I book an appointment? And how do I go about setting one up?

Clients typically book their sessions 2 or 3 weeks in advance. You can contact us to schedule your appointment via phone or email. Calling is almost always more effective than sending us an email.

Q:

Do I need to bring any paperwork to my first session after scheduling my first appointment?

Yes. Once you have your appointment, you will receive the password to download this paperwork. You can find it under our website’s “FORMS” heading. Either bring in or email us back the completed documents to complete the onboarding process.
